Message from the President

In early Meiji period, the founder Nisuke Tanaka started manufacturing Sudare (screens or blinds) in Wakamiya-cho, Tokyo. In 1905, the atelier was relocated to Asakusa and moved again to the current location in 1912. Since the establishment, we have been committed to manufacturing Sudare over 5 generations, over 100 years. While going through the Great Kanto Earthquake, World War II and other crises, we have continued the hand-made production of Sudare from users’ standpoints even today. We appreciate all your support and will devote ourselves in further improvement by taking over traditional craftsmanship.
